Chocolate desserts can sometimes be a little rich and full of calories these little pots of joy keep all the taste but are only 119 calories per pot.
So if you are having a few friends round for a dinner party you can happily serve these devilishly looking desserts without letting your halo slip.
Served with white chocolate curls they don’t need to be served with cream but if you wish you could serve them with a little low fat crème fraiche, but I don’t think they need it.
Ingredients for Chocolate Cardamom Pots
- 25g /1oz white chocolate
- 50g/2oz dark chocolate chopped
- 2 large eggs whites
- 1 tablespoon caster sugar
- Large pinch ground cardamom
How to make Chocolate Cardamom Pots
Using the white chocolate make enough chocolate curls to top four pots
Chop the remainder of the white chocolate
Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot water
Leave to cool slightly
Whisk the egg whites until stiff
Whisk in the sugar and cardamom
Fold in the melted chocolate using a large metal spoon
Gently fold in the white chocolate pieces
Divide into four small cups or ramekins
Sprinkle over the white chocolate curls
Chill in the fridge for about an hour or until ready to serve
